2% mindset + 2% time

We are always on our guard against contagious diseases of the body, but we are exasperatingly careless when it comes to the even more dangerous collective diseases of the mind - Carl Jung

Have you ever think at least for once that everyone tells a story about themselves inside their own head. Like serious always. All the time. And in my opinion that story eventually makes them what they are. Society build themselves out of that story. They become what they believe. Note that the opinion itself will always have polarity. Whether it's good or bad.

Man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor. It’s surprising how many persons go through life without ever recognizing that their feelings toward other people are largely determined by their feelings toward themselves, and if you’re not comfortable within yourself, you can’t be comfortable with others. One cannot find thyself by going into the past. One can find thyself by coming into the present. And lesson to be learned is; Never sacrifice who you could be in the future for who you think you are right now. Identity isn’t found. It’s made.

Below, were The Pareto Principle, or '80-20 Rule' (among other variant names) is surely one of the simplest and most powerful tools on the planet. Originally used in business, it's a remarkably quick easy way to assess, understand, and optimise virtually any situation involving distribution or usage of some kind.

As it in reality, I think the Pareto Principle does not demand that the 80:20 ratio applies to every condition, and neither is the model based on a ratio in which the two figures must add up to 100. The number within the principle isn't statistical proof nor number we get from any experiential learning we did. The ratio is just used to show that the Pareto distribution principle can be applied to many different situations. It doesn't have to be 80:20. It just tell us that the minority can affects the majority. And to think about it, you should do thoughtful action for every goal you wanted. Because a tiny masterful work lead to a better results than many inconsiderate works. So here I am proposing that we should let ourself plan. 2 percent is enough.

If you have 1 hour works to do, think for a minute what you're about to do, how you do it, and the results you want. If you want to go somewhere for 1 week, spend 3 hour to cope what you really want to do. If you have a semester plan for carrying out your final-year project, spend 3 days to totally think about it. If you want to fully live your life (assuming world average life expectancy is 70), you can cumulatively spend about 1.5 years to find a way you want it and to reconsider the worth of your life.

As an epilogue, I believe we are all capable of falling into that two percent. Have the courage to let our life play out the way it should, the way we want it. Embrace the good, embrace the bad, embrace change, embrace failure and most importantly, embrace life and move forward.

Adding Pareto method to this, things will fall apart the way we want it to be. All we need to do are have faith that everything happens for a reason and that it will always work out as long as we work hard, have fun, and go after what we believe in. Paraphrasing Elliot, It is never too late to be what you might have been. If you haven't start just yet, go fucking do it now!

Review Menulis

2k16

First of all. Sorry it took some times for the post. Both contributor had to span holidays and we agreed to postpone our writing for the next deadline. So here I am. Writing (dedicated to this blog) for the first time in 2k16.

Twenty Something

A lot things happened . Dan secara garis besar, rangkaian takdir itu memberi saya beeberapa pelajaran. Being twenty something is about how well you coach yourself. Hampir semua mengingatkan saya tentang seperti apa saya, di mata diri saya sendiri. Tentang batasan saya, tentang harapan saya, tentang mereka yang sayangi, tentang kemalasan saya, tentang apa yang membuat saya tertarik, tentang asumsi-asumsi...
